About cheap travel from Los Angeles to Long Beach Ca

Cheap travel from Los Angeles to Long Beach Ca?
I will be attending a conference in October. The conference will take place in Long Beach Ca but my plane will arrive in LAX. I'm looking for a cheap way to get to Long Beach. Taxi fare estimates are about $70. Is there any other safe and cheap way I can get there?

I love the MTA system. $4 and you can ride all day on any bus, train, or etc. If you're talking about the Long Beach Convention Center, it's as easy as from the LAX, take the shuttle bus (it has MTA and it's blue -- can't miss it, they're everywhere) for $5 to go to union station. From there, buy a $4 day pass and take the blue line subway. After that, if my memory serves me corectcorrectlycan either walk south for 2 miles or take the bus going south and it's at the end of the road. Look on the website and you'll see what i'm talking about. The only downside: This will easily take you 3-4 hours when taxi can get you there in 40 minutes - 1 hour depending on traffic.

well you use transt you have two options yu can take Lax G shuttle to the avation green line terminal then take the green line to Rosa park/Wilmington/Imperial station then transfer to the blue line to long beach cost is $1.25 on each train or you could get $5.00 day pass from the Ticket Vending machine then take the blue line to long beach ========================================== \your other routing is take the lax LOT C bus to the city bus center and board line 232 to long beach for $1.25 (the bus is a little slower but you only have to pay once) =================================== now if you have a lot suitcase you can also opt for a shuttle (super shuttle or prime time) to long beach cost about $35.-40.00

Yes, you can use the public transportation like the other people see and you will have a nice tour around LA that takes 3 hours. Or you can spend the $45 and take a taxi and be there in 20 mins (the taxi will be much more expensive during rush hour).
