As it approaches land it will begin to slowdown to around 20 to 40 mph. A wave travelling at 500 mph would take 20 minutes to travel 100 miles. A wave travelling at 40 mph would take 2 hours 30 minutes to travel 100 miles A wave travelling at 20 mph would take 5 hours to travel 100 miles. |
